[Permanent Rose]

So I'm currently writing a Rizzoli and Isles fanfiction - I'll spare you the plot details because they aren't important for the naming help I need. I need a name for a middle aged man (around 36 years old). He's a police officer, so he's in good shape, light brown (almost blonde) hair, and he's a soft, gentle sort of attractive that matches his sweet personality. His wife (not Jane) died from cancer shortly after giving birth to their son, Mason.

Now he's currently married to Jane, and I'm looking for a name that's traditional, but not as common as Michael, Matthew, Jacob, etc. Also, it shouldn't start with an M or J. Thomas, Frank, Gabriel, Casey and Ian are also off limits.

Mason's name just came to me, but no names have been popping into my head for his father, so I'd appreciate your input :]
