What do you guys think of the name Posey?

For a few months, I've been following this photographers blog and she always posts pictures of her daughter, Posey. I was never really a huge fan of the name, but lately it's been growing on me. I love that it's a flower name, but not really popular like Lily and Rose, and at the same time isn't horribly unusual.

Anyone have good middle name suggestions? The only one I've found that I really love is Posey Annabelle.

I like that it's uncommon but not so unusual it'll be something most can't pronounce without help, y'know what I mean?
But I do think I would avoid overdoing the girly-girl aspect of something like Posey with a name like Annabelle. Try to picture the child growing up into an adult, and that name announced before they cross the stage to accept their diploma, or announced as they are running for candidacy somewhere. It's beautiful, but does sound kind of....whimsical, childish. Which isn't bad :)
Just if you want my advice (which of course you don't have to take :D) I'd try for something more mature sounding for the middle name, to counteract the cuteness and prettiness of Posey.

Posey Olivia

Posey Janine
Posey Elaine
or something.

I hope this isn't offensive! I'm sorry if it is. I'm new here, and learning the ropes.

I don't particularly care for it as a full first name, but as a nick name its adorable! Like if your daughter was named Rose, then Rosey Posey is just so darn cute! :)

Posey Alexandra
Posey Katherine
Posey Theresa
Posey Helena
Posey Mariah
Posey Isabel
Posey Sophia
Posey Vivienne
Posey Natalie

Hope this helps! :D

I don't find it offensive at all. I totally understand your point too.

I really like Posey Elaine. Maybe even Posey Quinn? I'm starting to like it for a middle name as well. So it's still used, but not for every use. Thanks so much!

I'm not sure about Posey :\ I especially think it's a bit cutsy for a photographer's kid who poses for the camera. I just dont think I could picture it on an adult.

Posey Elaine, Posey Quinn, Posey Katherine, Posey Isabel and Sophia Posey are all pretty! :)

I think if anything, Posey would make out as a great middle name :P Cause I can't quite picture an adult named Posey myself <3 So a name like Sophia Posey would be sweet! But, as a first name, I do loooove Posey Elaine!

Not really a huge fan on the name but best to go with it would be one of the ones Paper Heart suggested.

Posey Ophelia :)

Posey Adele
Posey Emmeline [& Emmeline Posey]
Posey Charlotte
Posey Adelaide [& Adelaide Posey]

Posey Cate
Posey Elaina
Posey Margaux

Love them all. Though I personally don't think I'd ever use Posey [simply because it's very sweet and for me too cutesy], it's a lovely name.

PS Here's a few names you might like if you like Posey.
Poppy, Lillia, Carys, Peony, Petal, Hazel, Primrose, Phoebe, Janey, Paris, Ivy, Rosie, Nora, Paget, Callie, Pippa, Pansy, Penny, Lydia, Aurora, Holly, Stella, Cora, Fiona, Matilda..
I find names like Phoebe, Ivy and Lydia can work great on little girls but also grow up well and work much better on a grown up than Posey.

Though I don't see any of these being too much your style!
