Just last night as I was flipping through my baby name book, I spotted the name Promise. I have used it before in stories (I am an avid writer), but I just fell in love with it. The meaning, a faithful woman, is also great. Your thoughts, opinions, and mn suggests would be amazing!

It is okay. It sounds really pilgrim-esque, but that isn't necessarily bad. I don't like nicknames that come from it (Missy or Prom). I would much prefer Prudence (with the adorable nickname Prue). It has the same feel, but in my opinion a more practical sound.

I don't love it, sorry! It just seems like quite the name to live up too. Sounds like a very Puritan sort of name, like the Pilgrims went for way back when I could maybe see it being pulled off as a middle name, if you love it though?
