With your help, I've got my boys list put together and the process was pretty painless. Girls will not be so easy. The problem I have with girl names is that I love so many of them. For some reason, I feel like being creative with a girl's name is more accepted than choosing an unusual name for a boy, so there are so many more options to choose from. Anyway, that's just something I've noticed. Any opinions, suggestions, anything is very appreciated. I know the list is kind of a mess!

First, names I am thinking I want to use as first names. It's a pretty long list. Sorry about that.   I put a * beside the ones I'm not completely sold on, or am unsure about.

Alma

Amy

Anne* - I love so many variations of this name (Annika, Anya, Nina, etc.) I go back and forth between them constantly.

Astrid

Augusta

Beatrix - I'm back and forth between this and Beatrice.

Cassandra*

Catherine* / Katarina* "Kitty"- I love Catherine in and of itself, but also love Katarina and the nn Kitty. Again, back and forth.

Danika

Della

Eileen

Francesca "Fran/Franny"

Frieda*

Hermione* - I'm not a Harry Potter fan, and I think that's what most people associate this with, instead of the daughter of Helen and Menelaus.

Hilda* / Tilda - I love both of these. I've been told that Hilda sounds to "Viking."

Jane

Julia

Liv*

Louisa

Margot

Marian*

Marisa*

Melanie

Noa - I know Noah is very popular for boys, but I've always loved the Hebrew female version.

Owen* - This one is not a legitimate female name, but I love it. I might have to stick it with my GPs though.

Philippa

Pia*

Polly*

Raine*

Rosa

Sela*

Selma*

Vanessa

Wilhelmina "Minnie"

Here are some other names I like that could be used as middles (or firsts, if you want to mess around with them.)

Ada, Annika, Anya, April, Arden, Athena, Beatrice, Birdie, Bonnie, Callie, Camellia, Caroline, Cassia, Catalina, Cecily, Charlotte, Clara, Cornelia, Delta, Diana, Etta, Fiona, Freya, Garnet, Georgia, Greta, Hattie, Hazel, Helena, Henrietta, Holly, India, Ingrid, Jasmine, Jillian, June, Laura, Laurence, Leia, Lenora, Lilian, Lillia, Linnea, Lolita, Lucia, Lyra, Mabel, Mae, Maple, Margaret, Marianne, Natalie, Natalya, Neve, Nina, Penelope, Persephone, Piper, Salem, Signe, Tana, Thisbe, Zelda, Zoey

I am kinda tired so I won't go through the whole list.

Anne - cute, but probably my least favorite of all of the Anna names. Personally, my favorites are Anna, Annabel, Annalie, and Anya. I also love Annie as a nn.

Beatrix - I adore Beatrice, but Beatrix isn't for me

Cassandra - personally, I think Cassandra is a bit dated..sorry!

Catherine - I like this. not big on Kitty, though. I prefer Kate.

Frieda - not a fan of the sound

Hermione - I've been loving this lately and I'm not a Harry Potter fan either. I think it would make a lovely fn, but due to the associations it is probably better in the middle.

Hilda - does sound viking but I still kinda like it. I prefer the long version, Brunhilda. Pretty either way, though.

Liv - I go back and forth. Part of me thinks it is just to nickname-y and her birth certificate should say Elizabeth or Olivia, but on the other hand it is cute as is.

Marian - I think this name is great, the perfect amount of femininity, not too over the top. I prefer the Marion spelling, though

Marisa - never been a big fan of the Clarissa, Melissa, Larissa, Marissa, etc craze. sorry!

Owen - better as a GP

Pia - I have a secret love for this name...short and sweet, soft and spunky.

Polly - not my personal taste, but I'd love to meet a little Polly.

Raine - I prefer on boys

Sela - I adore the Selah spelling (I think it looks more finished/people are more familiar with it). It is on my list.

Selma - love this, too sweet.

I also adore: Alma, Amy, Astrid, Della, Francesca, Jane, Julia, Margot, Noa, Wilhelmina.

Taylor Hanson has a daughter named Wilhelmina Jane. I think it's the cutest!

I love a lot of your middle names, esp Freya, India, Ingrid, and Jillian.

Now, for some combos:

Pia Caroline

Marian Lyra

Margot Hermione

Philippa Mae

Francesca Maple

Noa Charlotte

Amy Linnea

Augusta Neve

Melanie Georgia

Rosa Jillian

Hilda Mabel

Marisa Callie

Anne Fiona

Jane Persephone

Rosa Catalina

Wilhelmina June

Sela Jasmine

Louisa Birdie

Augusta Bonnie

Beatrice Zelda

Margot Cecily

Francesca Owen

Liv Annika

Jane Lolita

Raine Henrietta

Eileen Zoey

Vanessa Neve

Polly Arden

Noa Helena

Rosa Ingrid

Noa Marianne

Astrid Penelope

Selma Lilian

Margot Freya

Julia Signe

Louisa Piper

Polly Athena

Wilhelmina Zoey

Jane Athena

Margot Leia

Danika April

this color = my favorites

Here are all the names I like from your list:

Amy

Anne

Astrid

Beatrix

Catherine (you could still use the nickname Kitty or spell it Katherine and then Kitty is a little more of an obvious nickname)

Francesca (I really like the nickname Frankie instead of the once you had. I think its spunky for a girl)

Jane

Julia

Louisa (I prefer Louise but Louisa is great too)

Margot

Vanessa

Catherine, Jane and Margot are my favourites.
