I personally would be a bit disgruntled to have to write out so many middle names... But whatever floats ones boat, I guess. I personally think it's uneccesary to do so. But if a religious belief or family tradition calls for it... Meh. Wouldn't call it stupid. But certainly quite uneccesary.
