I was watching Love It Or List It, Too and in one of the episodes, the couple has a son named Mackenzie nn Max.  He was 6 at the time the episode was taped so he'd be about 7 or 8 now depending on the month they filmed it.

Opinions?  If you were to name your son Mackenzie, what middle name would you pair with it and vice-versa?

I was super stoked to see a little boy with this name.  It's originally a surname/male given name so I never liked it for a girl and can't understand how it got so popular, but it's a very refreshing choice for boys.  But because of its trendiness on the girls' side, I hesitate to use it as a FN for a future son even though I kind of like it.

I'm thinking Mackenzie Jasper or Louis Mackenzie, but I'm still not sold on them.

I'd personally put it in the middle name slot because it is so well known for girls.

I've only known one male Mackenzie and he was kind of a jerk (and I have a funny feeling teased a lot, not sure if name related though) but he went strictly by Mac(k) and tried hiding his name as much as possible.

I like Mackenzie for a boy, I find it very distinguished. I'd pair it with something very masculine to balance it.
