Thanks for your suggestions on Nia! I asked my bf but he thinks it doesn't go with his LN (I think it does, though).

But I have some other queries.

Eoin Alexander. I am in love with this combo right now. Thoughts?

Both me and bf like Ebony for a girl, but the only issue is I feel THIS is the name that doesn't go with last name as it also ends in the 'ee' sound. What are some alternatives that could be a suggestion?

Note: not pregnant or planning to be any time soon, but names seem to come up a lot

I agree, Eoin Alexander is really handsome! (I'm assuming you're pronouncing Eoin like Owen? Another Irish spelling I love is Eoghan. I love Irish/Scottish/Gaelic names like Eoin, as long as they're pronouncable.)

I don't think Nia would clash with a surname ending with an "ee" sound, but Ebony would. Suggestion-wise, it depends what you like about Ebony, but I'll see what I can do finding similar names that don't end with that sound.

I'll throw out some different sorts of names somewhat similar in style to Ebony that you might like.

Eva

Eliza

Raven

Evanna

Amber/Ember (Ember is nice because it's much less popular than Amber and has that lovely meaning of small remnants of a fire)

Hazel

Adair

Laurel

India

Imogen

Mia

Maya

Layla

Scarlett

Good luck! Hopefully something there will catch your eye!
