  • Interests:More than anything else in the world I love being with my family, which includes my amazing husband and our three gorgeous daughters. We are currently expecting number four, and are so excited! I am of course a mother first, but I am a writer second. I am a nut about names and etymology in general. I love reading; I’m a sucker for both the more modern fantasy books, like Harry Potter, and the also classics, like Shakespeare. Music is another thing that I could’ve live without, and I have to say my tastes definitely lean towards modern rock: Nickelback, Hinder, Papa Roach, and Theory of a Deadman are my very favorites. Not too big on television, but I couldn’t live without Lost. I also love cars (and driving them!), and I am the proud “mommy” of a Ford Mustang. I’m also pretty big on talking and I like to see myself as friendly, so I hope to see you around the boards!

I know we had an “If You Had 20 Children…” game only a few days ago, but I know a lot of us have favorite names changing daily so I wanted to do something similar. This time we’re just doing 10 children, as it’s slightly more… realistic, I suppose, yet still a dang big handful  You can pick the genders; if you already have kids, I think it’d be great to list them in the count… but you don’t have to!

Have fun, guys :D

I let Josh help me pick genders and names this time… lucky for all of us he didn’t pick Quagmire this time! LOL! We’re going with seven SIX girls and four boys, at his request  He’s letting all my awesome boy names go to waste… anyway!

1. Sinéad Rebecca
2. Shelby Nicole
3. Victoire Chadée
4. Helena Emily
5. Devon Cheyenne
6. Eleanor Sierra
7. Jacoby Gavin “Jake”
8. Jericho Austin
9. Konstantine Ulrich
10. Sullivan Chace

I really wanted to use Jonah Lysander for one of those boy spots, but Josh called “J” overkill :D His name starts with J… you wouldn’t think he’d mind…

  • Interests:I LOVE reading. I'm into almost every genre and generally read a book a week, if possible. I like Iris Johansen, Karen Marie Moning, Stephen King, James Patterson, Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë, Diana Gabaldon, Kathy Reichs, and Robert Burns (every Scot's favorite author). I really love music and even got accepted to the Mason Gross School of Performing Arts at Rutgers University (my alma mater) for vocal performance. Unfortunately performance life was not for me, so I went into English Lit and French instead. Music is still a big part of my life, and I like a multitude of musical genres from Reggae to Rock to Opera. I've seen Carmen and La bohème each twice. (And I cry every time.) My husband and I also have a special place in our hearts for The Beatles.

5) Senga Deòiridh
6) Henry Royden

This kind of question is why my husband thinks I spend too much time on baby names - we'll never have enough kids to use all the names I like! Thanks for the topic, Charity. I like yours and Scarlet's names. Many make me think outside the box. You both have given me some good ideas and reminded me of names I'd forgotten about. Here's my list. I don't like reusing initials. Including mine and Josh's, I've covered A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N,O, R, S, T, V and W. This list DOES change a lot!

 I know, right? It's the solution to our excess of names... but also to the decomposition of our brains.

I don't think any of us could ever handle having 10 little ones :) And wow, five siblings! That almost seems unimaginable for me, since I'm an only child!

Oh how I envy all of the only children...lol! I have one brother who's close to my age, and the other three siblings are all ten years or more younger than me.

LOL, I used to get that all of the time in school! I don't know, I always really wondered what it would have been like to have a brother or sister; mom never remarried or anything after dad died, so I guess the chance was never really there... but my cousins were good enough :)

Aww.. poor Charity. I've always felt sorry for only children since I've always had my older sister and my half-brother in England. Who do you bug when you need someone to play with?

I generally just bugged my cousins :) We were usually around each other all the time; mom has always been really close to my uncle and we literally lived about two blocks away from each other. Plus Josh was almost always around, and mom made sure to spoil the heck out of me, so I don't think I missed out on too much :D

I'll just say five girls (the first five) and five girls (the second five). I'm actually going to exlude my daugthers' names as well as the name we're planning on using when our third little girl is born. I'm also not going to use the Italian theme we're using for our kids. And I'll include my nephew's name, Ryan, just because I love it so much. Just some of my all-time favorite names:

1. Claire Elisabeth
2. Charlotte Renee
3. Maya Nicole
4. Eden Hope
5. Sierra Lynn
6. Ryan Patrick
7. Benjamin David
8. James Alexander
9. Nathan Tyler
10. Asa Jonathan

Okay now I'll do one with the Italian first name theme (the first two of the girls are my daughters' names and the third for girls is what we're probably going to be naming our third daugther when she's born in June):
(Not in any particular order)

Boys:
1. Angelo Daniel
2. Benito James
3. Roberto David
4. Leo Ryan
5. Gianni Tyler

Girls:
1. Aria Rose
2. Lucia Emilie
3. Cara Bella
4. Mea Grace
5. Katarina Hope
