Hello! I have kind of fallen for the name Liana (lee-ah-na), but I'm not sure how I want to spell it.

Lyana would be sentimental and more of a namesake

but I worry that it will cause pronunciation issues.

So what do you think?

Lyana or Liana

Thanks in advance!

I prefer the spelling Liana, it's more intuitive to the pronunciation; I want to pronounce Lyana like lie-ah-na instead of lee-ah-na.

Although I prefer the spelling Liana, I think Lyana works for your pron. and if this spelling has particular meaning, I'd say go for it!

I prefer Lyana. I wish I had tried to say them before knowing your preferred pronunciation... I asked my husband to say them and he didn't get it right for either spelling, but all of the other spellings I try are not better than what you have found. Go for it! It is a beautiful name!
