What are your thoughts on the name Alexandria? I think if I am having girls we will name one Alexandria ;) . What about middle names?

Thank you
Analeigh!

I like Alexandria, though I much prefer Alexandra. It just feels cleaner and a little less fussy to me. I am not a fan of most of the 'lex' nicknames though ie. Lexi, Lex, Alexis etc. I think Alexandria is one of those names that needs a nn, as it is 5 syllables and a bit unpractical. I love the nn's Sasha & Anya.

AND, I of course love thinking of baby names even though that is a VERY far in the future thing for me because I'm still young!

I agree, I love Alexandra, but something about Alexandria is just too long, yet still pretty. My favorite girl name is Lily Alexandra and that's what I plan to name my daughter, so if you needed a combo for it Alexandra Lily is very pretty, ;) I also agree with the above that I don't like the nicknames Lex, Lexi, Alexis, and stuff like that, but one I do think is pretty is Alexa.

As for middle names, here are some and if you don't like any, I'd be glad to suggest more:

Alexandra Lily
Alexandra Ivy
Alexandra Rose (my mom's favorite combo after Hannah Rachelle lol)
Alexandra Kate
Alexandra Grace
Alexandra Hope
Alexandra Marie
Alexandra Lucille
Alexandra Eden
Alexandra Brianne/Breann/Breanne
Alexandra Brielle
Alexandra Rae
Alexandra Rachel
Alexandra Olivia
Alexandra Haley
Alexandra June
Alexandra May/Mae
Alexandra Elise
Alexandra Elisa
Alexandra Jessamine
Alexandra Lucy
Alexandra Jane
Alexandra Jade
Alexandra Nadine

Alexandra is a hard name to come up with middle names, but I hope you might like some.

I LOVE the name Alexandria, it's sounds so regal and refined. I don't find it any less practical than Alexandra, but I do agree that it can use a nickname since it's so long. My favorite is Lexie, but there are plenty of others.

Here are some MNs....

Alexandria Elizabeth (this one's my favorite, though it is a bit long...It just sounds so dignified IMO)
Alexandria Lily
Alexandria Rose
Alexandria Margaret
Alexandria Helen/e
Alexandria Grace
Alexandria Katherine
Alexandria Mae
Alexandria Violet

I completely agree with everything ^ Especially how awesome Anya is. Sasha a little less. Alexandra is better than Alexandria.
