Hi All, just new to the forum and looking for inspiration! Love reading other similiar posts & threads, here is my situation:

Baby Girl #2 coming next week. Big Sister is Sophia Marie Harrill.

So far Mom & Dad (we) both like Madeleine as a first name, but not locked in. We prefer the french spelling / pronunciation as it looks & sounds classic and classy to us.

I like Madeleine Grace, it just kind of came to me, no real family connections. But open to other ideas. It does seem to pass all the "beware of these pitfalls" tests... yay!

Some other names I like:
Madeleine Rose (also a nice ring to it)
Lucia (perhaps Madeleine Lucia?) we honeymooned at St. Lucia but extra syllables...
Katherine (sounds strong and powerful)
Caroline (similar to Carolyn, wife's grandmother)
Gabrielle (pretty and powerful)
Sienna (although neither of us has reddish hair, wife's grandfather was Italian noblility (marchese)
Natalie

Thanks everyone in advance!
Scott

Caroline Lucia <333 Perfection.

Grace, Hope and Rose are SO boring nowadays, unless you are honoring someone with it please use something else!

I really like Madeleine Grace and Sophia Marie as a sibset. Madeleine is a refreshing choice!

Sienna is also beautiful. I was going to suggest Sienna Gabrielle but I don't think Gabrielle flows with your last name.

Sienna Madeleine also came to mind. Both of your daughters would be S.M. with a French middle name...if you're into that sort of thing. (Or the reverse Madeleine Sienna).

I think Madeleine & Sophia would make an adorable sib set. I also like the first name Caroline, however I say go with what feels right. Madeleine Grace is lovely.

Madeleine Grace is adorable. Very cute, girly and traditional. Can't go wrong with it in my opinion.

Also, Sophia and Madeleine work great in a sibling set, like Katie mentioned.

I do however, adore Lucia (prn Lou-see-uh and not Loo-sha), Katherine and Caroline.

Sienna is also lovely, though Sophia and Sienna might create an unwanted theme down the road if you were to have more children.

I have a love for French names and pronunciations as well.

Would you like some other ideas of French first names that would work in English?
