So right now this story is mainly just an idea as I put some of my other stories on the backburner. The problem with these characters is that unlike most of my stories I want them to have really unusual names...

Here are some of the names that I've liked but I'm welcome to any suggestions. Also, what kind of person do these names bring to mind?

Boy
Zeal
Gulliver
Vader
Adonis
Justus

Girl
Jubilee
Hero
Echo
Harper
Charity

It will focus on a girl, around 16, who lives in a very small community. The story is called Human Nature and is basically about how bad the girl wants to get noticed, and live a different life. Right now I'm looking for names for the girl and her four friends (any gender).

i love unual names. i try to usual them in my stories as well. but sometimes you need a common name in the mix.

Zeal- i think of a strong, out-spoken man but a softy to a certain animal and women
Gulliver- i think of a quiet, book-worm
Vader- i think of Darth Vader on star wars...i really do.
Adonis- i don't know, i sorta see a soft man, but very opinionated.
Justus- i think of a man who just wants to be left alone.

Jubilee-i think of a wild woman, always on the run.
Hero-I think of a woman who wants to be strong, but just isn't. though a very reliable friend.
Echo- i think of a down to earth girl who is very considerate.
Harper- i think of a tomboy
Charity- i think of a motherly, soft, woman. some one who's very, very, very easy to persuade.

i like the names you've got. for a 16 year old, who wants to be noticed. i think you should go with Harper. i know i said tom boy, but that's just me. you could make her tomboy-ish with a soft side. My next choice would be Jubilee.

Sounds interesting. First off - best of luck with the story!
Now...
Boy
Zeal - It has the air of a villian's name for some reason. Zeal means strength and endurance, though, so I suppose it could fit for a hero if you made sure to offset the harshness of the name with very gentle characteristics.
Gulliver - Like it. Strong, rolls off the tongue. That might be my favorite in this boy names list.
Vader - Interesting. Again, sounds like a villian name.
Adonis - Has a pretty, Greek God kind of sound. I think it's my second favorite.
Justus - And this one has a Roman-ish sound. Another name that alludes to strength of character. Not my favorite choice though.

Girl
Jubilee - Snazzy! This is my favorite. Radiates sunshine... a great name!
Hero - A little boyish, but could work.
Echo - Second favorite.
Harper - Catchy, but it might not be as unusual as you seem to want for your heroine.
Charity - Good for the kind of character you may want, but it's been done before.

Sooo... I think my vote would be Gulliver and Jubilee! :D

Thanks for the in put. Girls names tend to come easier to me than boys, so any new suggestions on the boys names would be greatly appreciated.

What do you think about the names...?
Cadenza
Clover
Rhoda
Amadea

I'm still open to names on the girls too!

I really like Jubilee. The rest are okay but I tend to associate them with other literary/pop culture characters...Hero from the show Heros, Gulliver from Gulliver's Travels, Vader from Star Wars.

Rhoda is okay but it kinda looks like a misspelling of Rhonda. What about Rhody? Like Brody without the B.

Um...

Dervish
Woke
Dorn/Dorne
Vieken
Lokus

Leira (like Kiera but with a L)
Ombrine
Hilyn
Cardimae nn Cardi?
Joezy

Fiscishe (like vicious with a F? Might be a good villian name)
