We've been struggling to settle down on a name that we both love for baby #2. We have a small list going but for the most part... none of the names feel like his name. You know?
Of course, we have our son Archer Cohen Bear "Archie". We will most likely only use one middle name for this child. My personal preference is the name has to have a nick name option.
I'd really love any suggestions... I've crossed off a good hundred names in the search thus far.
My taste is quite different from his. I like names like:
Dashiell "Dash"
Sullivan "Sully"
Phineas "Finn"
Wallace "Wally"
Jonas "Joey"
Hayes
Ezra
Charles/ Charlie
Freddie
Reid
Declan
Maddox
Lachlan
Wilder
His name taste looks more like this:
Matthew "Matt"
Warren
Harrison
Levi
Jericho
Carson
Zachary
Hunter
Jacob
Riley
** These names are names he's suggested more than once in the past five years but not necessarily recently. So they may not be entirely accurate or right now but I imagine they're still close-ish
And we're sort of agreed on these names (including ones that got rejected) :
Bennett "Ben" (I like but I don't feel it's the one)
Whitman "Whit" (only a maybe)
Rowan (rejected being it rhymes with our sons middle name, but still gives an idea of our name tastes <3 )
William (MN only)
Noah (MN only)
Reynold "Ren" (again, its nice and I'm considering but my heart doesn't feel all in)
Hawthorne (nick name ideas are my draw back. I would have to find "normal"ish nick name to match.. thus far I've only come up with Hawk or Thor.. which I like but I'd want something more familiar)
Sterling (rejected, because it'd be too strong of a reference towards the FX cartoon paired with Archer's name ).
Finch (MN only)
Fraiser (MN only)
Theodore "Teddy" (both of us like it, it's just not a top contender. Plus the surname starts with the "ed" sound so it'd be a tad rhymey)
Quinn (MN only)
I think I could compromise a little on his names in that I'd be fine to use some of them as middle names (Riley, Harrison, Levi, maybe Jacob). I also attempted to compromise through finding a name with a similar nick name (ie Matteo instead of Matthew) but it was a no go.
