I'm writing a story told by a girl. It basically goes through her entire life, from baby to teen. She is given away by her mother as an infant because her mother cannot care for her. My main character is feisty, has a temper, she can be a mix of tomboy and girly and finds it hard to make friends. But she is also kind-hearted, very imaginative and dreams of being a famous author or acrobat. She has long very blonde hair that is nearly always messy, light brown eyes, is petite and very skinny with prominent cheek bones. I originally intended to call her Nelly or Nellie but it just doesn't feel like the right choice. The story is set around the 50s/60s era so names like that. I'd prefer names ending in an e sound, but any suggestions are welcome :)

Thanks,

Steph x

Kelly was pretty popular in the 60's. So was Abby.
