So Mike is pretty much set on the name Emma. I feel like in his mind, if we have a daughter her name will be Emma. I bring up other names and he's like "yeah thats pretty, but I don't know if I'd really use that" so I'm trying to find a way to make Emma work for me. Its not that I don't like Emma, its just so popular it bothers me a little. Doesn't feel unique in any way. So I'm hoping maybe I can find an interesting enough middle name to make it more interesting!

I have much less trouble with middle names. I mean, he's weird about those too. He likes names that flow very well, but he tends to chose fillers. He'll automatically pair things with Rose or something just because it flows. BUT, I refuse to use a filler middle name.

I tend to like nature names, old fashioned names, some modern names, etc. I would not like any fillers (no Grace, Faith, Hope, Anne, Rose, etc). I'd really appreciate if I could get some suggestions!! I've tried pairing Emma with quite a few names on my list but none really seem to feel nice.. Thanks so much for any help!!

Thanks Lauren!! Mike is into Emma Rose, and its nice... just doesn't float my boat I suppose :) I do like Emma Kate though, I think thats really cute :) Oh, maybe I could go with Emma Kate! <3 Maybe even Emma Kate as a first name, then find a middle name for Emma Kate? Oh! Thanks for saying whatever you did that sparked the name into my mind!! <3

Hehe I kind of like Constance. I can't decide. It definitely helps that Mike likes it though haha

I like these:
Emma Carole (my aunts name is Carol - nice way to honor! <3)
Emma Rosalie
Emma Avalon
Emma Kathryn
Emma Madelyn

thanks so much!!! <3

My name is Emma Rose. Yep, it's pretty boring but I'd rather have a boring name that people know how to spell or say, than a made-up name which is "unique" but nobody's every heard of!

If you think Emma is boring, you could go for a variation like Emmeline. That way, you could call her Emma but she'd have a more interesting name as well. These are easier to pair with exciting middle names, too. e.g. Emmeline Constance, Emmeline Juliet, Emmeline Persephone, Emmeline Mariah.

I love Emma! If I have two daughters they will definitely be Molly and Emma, but I can see why you're worried about it being so popular. I'm not sure it's as popular over here in the UK, but it doesn't really bother me lol.

I also like Emma Hazel, but you're right, the flow isn't perfect.

Emma Charlotte
Emma Lucy
Emma Elise (double initial, but it's actually quite cute!)
Emma Natalie
Emma Avalon
Emma Louise
Emma Scarlett
Emma Josephine
Emma Phoebe
Emma Olivia

Sorry if any are repeats, and that there aren't many, but I'm having an Emma mind block. Me and Graeme have 3 Emma possibles on our list; Emma Jane, Emma Katherine and Emma Serafina.

Hope this helped!
Hannah ♥

I'm liking a few Emma's, but I doubt Mike will agree :( He's picky on girls names I feel. He wont back down on Emma even a little <3

But I'm actually thinking maybe I should add Emma Scarlett back onto my list! I had it at one point in time and I do like it.. it has personality to it, I think. I had it on my list a while back, I think I dumped it only because I had Charlotte on my list and had to leave one behind :/ But I do like it, and I know Mike likes Emma Scarlett as well.

I love Emma Jane to, but one Mike wouldn't like.

And hehe! Emma Elise would be cute, but then her name would be the initials of E.E.E. lol, and "triple E" sounds bad :L haha! <3

And I like Emmeline, but Mike doesn't. He only likes Emma or Emily </3 unfortunate! Cause I even like Emerson as well, but he doesn't care for that.
