Naming Traditions

I am interested in starting a naming tradition when I start a family. I'm not sure why the thought interests me so much, but it just sounds so cool! Of course, my kids would have to chose to continue it until it actually becomes a tradition, but attempting to start one sounds fun
The only two naming traditions I know of myself is the two middle names thing, or naming after a family member sort of thing.
Well, if there is any more out there, I'd love to hear of them!
Thanks!

The only one I really know of is the same letter fn thing. My mum's cousin has four kids and their names all start with J.

But those are cute! I think naming after family is the best naming tradition I have heard so far, lol. It just works!

But I think I might have to do that.... Okay, I'll make a topic with all my family names... and some help turning them a bit different cause some of them I realllllly don't care for.... <3

My middle name is Michelle.
As is
My Moms - Brandy Michelle
My Mother-in-Laws - Lisa Michelle
My Cousins - Stephanie Mashell (her's is spelled quite different)
If i have a daughter her name will be Leigha Abigail Michelle (double mn thing)
Double middle names:
My Brother - Scott William Grady Newton
My Nephew - Scott "William" Grady Newton Jr.
My Nephew - Clay Henry Grady Newton
It's mainly boys in my family that have double middle names, but my girls are going to have double middle names & my boys will not. (That's what my husband wants).

I don't like the all same first initial thing (and is it just me or do people tend to pick J's).

So, my dad is Thomas and his dad was James, and his dad was Thomas.. (So on). And my brother is James. So, when my brother has a son (If). He has to name him Thomas..
And if he doesn't have kids, then its up to my older sister Caty, and if she doesn't have another son, then its up to me..
And if none of us have any sons, then its up to my grandfathers NEXT son, or daughter..
Its all very confusing..

I have a friend who shares the same initials as her siblings; Shannon Ashley, Stacey Ann and Steven Adam.
An old neighbor of mine named all her daughters after TV witches; Samantha, Tabitha and Sabrina... I thought that was kind of strange.
