I heard this name at work yesterday - it's pronounced MAG-deh-lin. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but I'm kind of warming up to a little and wanted to know what other people thought. I've always loved the name Maggie, and it would work as a perfect nickname for Magdeline because I've never been a fan of Margaret.

Also, on another note, I met two sisters at work named Stella and Ruby, which I thought was an adorable sibset.

Magdeline isn't so bad, and Maggie is an adorable nickname! I actually prefer Maggie on its own. Have you considered the name Magnolia, nickname Maggie or Magna?

Stella and Ruby are a very cute sibset as well! They fit so well together <3

Magdeline is okay. I kind of feel indifferent to it at the moment.

Stella and Ruby on the other hand... I also like the idea of the combo Stella Ruby

I can't say I'm a fan. Something about the name Magdeline bothers me, though I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the g next to the d that throws me off a bit; *shrug* but Maggie is cute.

I automatically think Mary Magdalene from the Bible.

I've always liked the name Magdalene, but I, personally, wouldn't use it as a fn.

Maggie does work as a nn though :)

Thanks guys. I guess I'm just a little intrigued by it at the moment. I have a cousin named Maggie, so depending on how close I stay to her, Maggie may be an off limits name. Same as Jenna, Julia, and Ben, all of which love as well :[

I found out that Stella and Ruby have a little brother named Henry. They have another sister too, but I don't know her name
