I've been listening to a lot of Hamilton lately. There's a song in it called 'Dear Theodosia.' for Aaron Burr's daughter Theodosia. It's made me start to like the name. What do we think of it? Is the connection to Aaron Burr too strong? IS the connection to the musical too strong?

Theodosia is one of my gps. It has a strong Victorian feel to it for me, and I wouldn't immediately associate it with the musical but that's probably because I don't know much about it, and I also don't know who Aaron Burr is. It has lots of cute nicknames (Teddy, Thea, Dodie, Sia), so I think it could definitely be usable.

I agree, I think it's one of those names with nicknames that fit all ages, and Aaron Burr was the third Vice President of the US

I think it's a beautiful name, but might be a hard name to live with. But like Hannah said, it has a lot of great nicknames that make it a lot more wearable. I didn't have any idea that Aaron Burr's daughter was named Theodosia, so I don't think the connection is too strong. Hamilton is really popular right now, but because Theodosia is such an unusual name, I don't think people would necessarily connect it with the musical either. I'd probably keep it on the GP list or use it as a middle name.
