Hello everyone. I know it's been a while since I've been active, but it gets pretty busy here overseas. So anyway, I just finish a CAF, and it got me thinking about these two nicknames that I love: Sly and Whitt. I first heard them in the movie Baby Geniuses. I fell in love with them. However, I didn't like the first names that they are usually assossiated with: Sylvester and Whitman. But I do have names that I have been thinking would work: Silas and Wyatt. These are two names that I really fell in love with. And I figured that Sly could be a cute nickname for Silas, seeing as Sylvester doesn't exactly have Sly incorporated into it. Silas atleast has the long I that Sly has, where as Sylvester doesn't. Also, Whitt seems like it could be a good nickname for Wyatt. It's kind of a stretch, but I think it works.

What do you think? Do you think these would work?

Silas nn Sly wounds perfect! I love it!! Wyatt nn Witt is a stretch, but it's doable :) Witt seems strong enough to stand on its own if you'd like, though :)

Thanks Hayden. I figured Sly would be easier than Witt. There aren't many names that I can think of that gives me the nickname of Witt.

Sly is a perfect nickname for Silas. It's not that much of a stretch and works just fine. I also think Witt would work as a nickname for Wyatt, it's no more of a stretch than to get Sly from Silas, though this is coming from the mother of Lauren nicknamed Lolly and Jessamine nicknamed Jem, so I clearly don't think much is too much of a stretch.

Yeah, I figured if you just take the y out of Wyatt, you get Witt. To me, it sounds pretty good and a unique nickname for a name that usually wouldn't have a nickname. I absolutely love nicknames, so I usually base my decisions on names off of what kind of nickname I can come up with. Jem as a nickname for Jessamine is pretty cool. I never would have thought of that, but it still sounds good. Lolly is also a cute name for Lauren. Very unique and adorable.
