I have recently really been liking the name Lane, for a girl.
Lauren suggested it to me as a boys name for my list, so thanks Lauren! :)

The only thing I don't like about it is how short it is, can anyone think of a fuller name that could use the nickname Lane?
I know Delaney can, but I have a step cousin named Delaney. Are there any others?

I also know Elaine could use the nickname Lane, but I'm not very keen on the name Elaine.

Well, something not quite as obvious? Helena, Helen, and Alana are three that come to mind.
How are you, girl? (:

Thanks Raven. :) I do like Helen/Helena a bit, but I just can't see myself naming a child Helena.
Maybe Lane will have to stay on my GP list. :P

I've been alright, some issues with my father (he's a jerk) and I'm a little freaked about school starting Tuesday. But hey, it's my birthday soon so I gotta be happy about that. ;) Legal drinking age, here I come! :D
How are you??!

I love Lane just on it's own. It's been a GP of mine for a while now.

I like Lane :) I don't think its too short at all, but I'm a fan of both long and short names. I think Laina or Alaina or such would all be pretty as well though! My brain just made of a name lol.. Adalane. Idk how you'd spell it, but it has the pretty and feminine Ada mixed with a little more tomboy Lane. Idk, I thought it was cute. Adalaine, Adalayn, Adelane.... lol idk!

I cant think of any names to use it as a nickname for, but I love it in the middle name spot. For both! :)

Two of my teachers have daughters named Lainey, and I love the name. Although I don't like it on it's own. I think it needs a more grown-up alternative.
As for Lane, I think it's fine on its own. You could even use it as a middle name and just call her by her middle name.

Sienna Lane is really pretty and flows really well.

I don't mind Lainey, but as I said I have a step-cousin named Delainey. And I'm pretty sure I knew a Lainey in elementary school. And I didn't like her, her name was either Lainey or Lacey. So as for actually using the name, I don't think I could.. :/

Thanks. :)
