Hey ladies! I hope everyone is doing fabulous!

Lately I've been coming back to some old names of mine, especially Ella. I've loved this name for a very long time and it is always embedded in the back of my mind, just like the name Penelope. Though the popularity for Ella is high on the roster I can't help but just fall in love with it. Etta is just so lovely and so old that it's mysterious. Two letters that I just cannot decide on!

So here's my question; Which do you prefer: Ella or Etta?

Have a great week! :)

Ella. I don't mind Etta. The way i think about the decision is what would i rather be called? And when it comes down to it while Etta is nice, I'd rather be Ella.

Hmm, I really like both <3 I have Arietta on my list, or other names ending in Etta, and I guess I just love how it sounds at the end of a name. I think Etta is really pretty! Ella is so lovely as well though.. I guess it all depends on the feel you'd like for it :/ Maybe finding middle names for both then deciding which combo you like best? :)

I like Etta a tad more. It just has more personality to me.

Have you thought of using Penelope nn Ella?

I adore the name Ella  .

Etta isn't bad, just seems a tad more harsh.

I feel like in the long run I'd have to wait until I meet my child to decide between such close names <3 They have totally different personalities to them, and maybe after they've been born you'd have a better feel for it? hehe, idk :)

I agree with Remy that they'd seem to fit different personalities. But I personally prefer Ella as a nickname (Eliza, Eleanor, Eloise etc.) and I like Etta either on it's own or a nn to Juliette or Henrietta..,
