For once, I have nothing to do at work right now because my flight to another Base got cancelled. So I figured I would see what your thoughts are on the names in my family. Since I have time, I'll try to list as many people as possible (keep in mind, my whole family is Puerto Rican):

Delilah Elizabeth (me - and my nn actually isn't Lilah. It's Deedee lol)
Fernando Luis Jr. (nn Fern or Nando - my brother)
Elizabeth (nn Liz - my mom - she doesn't have a middle name, along with a lot of the older family members)
Luis (my maternal grandfather - no middle name - passed away in '94)
Angela (nn Angie - my maternal grandmother - no middle name)
Yvette (my mom's oldest sister)
Angelita (nn Angie - Yvette's oldest daughter - no middle name)
Kristina (nn Tiny - Yvette's youngest daughter - no middle name)
Anthony Michael (nn Ant - Yvette's son - only one with a middle name)
Krystal Yvette (nn Kris - Angie's daughter)
Xavien Alexander (pronounced Ex-zavien - nn X man - Angie's son)
Destiny Justine (nn Deto - Tiny's oldest daughter)
Armani Marie (nn Mani - Tiny's youngest daughter)
Leilani Marie (nn Lani - Ant's daughter)
Jacqueline (nn Jackie - my mom's younger sister)
Joseph (nn Joey - Jackie's son - no middle name)
Amanda Marie (nn Mandi - Jackie's daughter)
Angelina Marie (nn Lina or Angelina Ballerina lol, she's only 2 - Joey's daughter)
Louis (my mom's only brother)
Louis Jr. (Louie's son, we call him Little Louie, even though he is 30)
Matthew (Louie's youngest son, we call him Matt or Matty)
Jeannie (Louie's wife, Little Louie and Matt's step-mom)
Helen (Jeannie's oldest daughter)
Delores (Jeannie's youngest daughter, we call her Deedee too)
Hector Charles (nn CJ, don't ask why because I don't know lol - Jeannie's son)
Lilliana Marie (nn Lily - Little Louie's daughter)
Louis Miguel (nn Baby Lou - Little Louie's son)
Matthew Aiden (nn Aiden - Matt's son)
Maya (Delores' daughter, not sure the middle name)

Fernando Lewis[/color] (my dad - they decided to change the spelling of my brother's middle name to reflect my grandfather)
Roman (my paternal grandfather - no middle name - passed away in '97)
Gloria (my paternal grandmother - no middle name - passed away in 2007)
Victor (dad's older brother)
Christopher (Victor's son)
Nelson (dad's younger brother)
Jason (Nelson's son)
Noelia (dad's oldest sister - she has like 5 or 6 kids, but I've never met them, so I don't remember their names)
Zoraida (dad's sister - be advised, he has 6 sisters, so be patient)
Jawhar Omar (pronounced Juh-hair - Zoraida's oldest son - he's half Puerto Rican and half black)
Alexander Chris (Zoraida's youngest son)
LeShane Omar (Jawhar's oldest son)
Elijah Paris (Jawhar's youngest son)
Abraham (LeShane and Elijah's half-brother, different father)
*Zoraida also has step-son's: John (nn Johnny), Robert (nn Robbie) - and they have kids: John (Johnny boy), Jonah, Alisha, and Donovan
Noemi (dad's sister)
Jessica (Noemi's daughter)
Justin (Noemi's son)
Norma (dad's sister, she has no kids)
Nancy (dad's sister)
Angelique (Nancy's daughter)
Ryan Charles (Nancy's oldest son)
Dylan Roman (Nancy's youngest son)
Shayden Alexander (Angelique's son)
Nadine (dad's youngest sister)
Gwendolyn (nn Gwen - Nadine's oldest daughter)
Franchesca (nn Franchie - Nadine's middle daughter)
Kimberly (nn Kim - Nadine's youngest daughter)

As you can see, most of my them don't have middle names, and if they do, it's Marie lol. I don't know why, because we don't have anyone with that name, but everyone felt the need to use it. I will definitely be changing that tradition. And did you notice all the Louie's? I think it's pretty ridiculous. But the guys in the family feel the need to have Jr.'s to get confused at family outings. I don't get it. Here are some family friends and distant cousins that I feel like adding:

Deborah (my mom's best friend, who I call Aunt Debbie)
*Debbie's kids are: Augustina (Tina), Jasmin (Jas), Gabriella (Gaby), and Brian
Yolanda (my mom's best and oldest friend, we call her Yoly)
*Yoly's boys: Kevin and Anthony
Minerva (my dad's cousin, we call her Minnie)
*Minnie's boys: William (He is Willie to us, but Will to the world: Will Castro of Unique AutoSports. He has a tv show called "Unique Whips" Google him! LOL) and Robert (Bobby)
** Willie has a wife, who we've called Honey girl for so long, that I don't have any idea what her name is lol. They also have a daughter. Actually two I think
*** Bobby has a son named Anthony

Okay I officially skipped dinner to finish this. Let me know what you think!

Thanks, my favorite name from my family is Elijah Paris. I really love it. Ever since I realized his middle name, I started loving Paris for a boy. But it isn't a very common name, and whenever it has been used, it's been used on a girl. I also love Donovan and Jonah, and they are still on my list, seeing as these boys are only distant family members through marraige. I am mostly considering the name Roman, because it was my grandfather's name, and I think it's handsome. I'm also considering Romeo, since it's so similar, and I find it so handsome. I just don't know if it's too weird to use.

Thanks Yas. I'm really loving Roman, Romeo and Paris right now.

I always wanted to honor my grandmother, Angela, when I had a child. I considered Angel (either boy or girl), Angelo (for a boy), Angela, and Angelica. But my cousin named his daughter Angelina, so I think all of those names would be too similar. I'm upset that he had a baby first lol. I guess now I'll just have to settle for using one of these as the middle name.

You could always use something with a similar sound/letters :]

Like; Ella, Anelle, Mariela, Adela, Anabela, Ariela, Carmella, Estella, Evangeline, Isabella etc

I'm sorry he sort of stole your name.. that always sucks! ♥;

Good idea. I love Ariella and Stella rather than Estella. I actually just stumbled across the name Evelina/Evalina. I was thinking that it would be a good way to honor my Godmother, Yvette. What do you think?

I love Stella! ♥

Ooh, I think it could work :] It's not so straight forward, but I quite like the idea of honouring her without it being totally obvious like calling a daughter Yvie!

I think it's beautiful.
