I decided to go with Elizabeth Grace __________ as my main character and I'm leaning towards William Lewis __________ as the name of her boyfriend. Lewis isn't permanent quite yet since I'm also considering Robert, Jason and Jeremiah, but the other three names are. I need help with their last names. They are living in the 1880's but their last names need to come before then so I posted a poll with the last names that I am considering.
Elizabeth's parents are Thomas and Anna
Most of her older sisters are married so the last names that come in second and later I'll use for their married last names or last names of the rest of her sister's boyfriends.
William's parents are Charles and Sarah
His older sisters are also married so the last names that come in second and later I'll use for their married last names or last names of his younger sister's boyfriends.

I would avoid Elizabeth Taylor (the actress) and William Harrison (US president).
Elizabeth Edwards, Elizabeth Clark & Elizabeth Anderson -or- William Robert Clark, William Robert Taylor & William Robert Edwards are my favorites.

Thanks for pointing Taylor and Harrison out. I didn't even realize that those names were connected like that when I was going through the list of possible last names to use.
I deleted them from the poll and replaced them with others.

I like Miller and Clark as last names. Lewis is a great middle name.

I think I have decided on the final names. I talked with friends as well as looked at my poll and read all the post.
