First boy shares the initial K with mom, so we’d like boy #2 to share dad’s R initial. Last name is a three syllable, excessively English sounding beast, but we tend to like English names anyway, so it works alright.
I’m also big on names honouring heritage (Irish and Chinese among others) or inspired by characters from literature, history, etc. Obviously at this point though, we're really just hoping to find an R name we both like.
Like most people, we want a name that's not too popular, but not completely unique either. Middle name will be picked from a pool of family names to match the first name, but most of the middle names on the list are two syllables.
