Ruthetta ~ okay
Ruthene ~ I actually really like this! the -thene sound reminds me of Athene/Athena which I think is very pretty and elegant
Ruthena ~ same as Ruthene
Ruta ~ I kind of like this for some reason...I don't know why...
My two favorites would have to be Ruthene and Ruthena! GL.

I only like Ruth and possibly Ruthie for a nickname. It sounds very old fashioned to me. I knew a very old woman with this name, so I would associate with an older woman. But I also think of Ruth from the bible---one of my favorite stories!

I really like the name Ruth-- it goes along my tastes in girls names (told ya I picked classical and sometimes old-fasioned!), but since it seems a tiny bit too heavy, I'd rather use it as a middle name. I was considering Eliana Ruth the other day.
Ruthie could be a cute nickname though (:
Oh, and as far as Ruta, I heard a name that is similar that I love: Ruca!

I only am okay with Ruth, and barely. It's a very old name, one I see on an old lady!
