My husband and I are in process of adopting a Chinese girl. We would like her name to sound good in Chinese as well as English. Also we read that Chinese people look at the characters of the name, and so many lines mean more luck or less lucky. We wouldn't want to give her an unlucky name to Chinese people. Does anyone know if these names would be good in Chinese? Emma, Elsa, Samantha, Breanna, or Mia?

First of all, thankyou so much for adopting!!! That is something that I have always wanted to do, and that is awesome that you are doing it.
Secondly, I do not know 100%, but I have heard of a few Chinese girls with the name Emma. So, I am asuming that name would be safe and it is so precious too :)

Good luck, and thanks again!

Check out this site for ideas of what to name your Chinese-American girl: http://www.youcantca...-american-baby/

From it, I pulled Jane and Anne, they are beautiful!
