So as many of you know, Mariah is one of my favorite names. It was actually the name of my best friend in first grade, and a few days ago, as I was going through some old keepsakes, I discovered that she actually spelled her name Myriah, not Mariah.
So I was wondering what spelling you guys preferred. I really like Mariah/Myriah in a sibset with Maura/Mara and Monica - I just thought that Mara (which is my preferred spelling) and Mariah look a little too similar, so I thought I might choose Myriah instead, just so there would be some variation in the spellings.
Also, what do you think of the name Ellery for a girl? Usually I'm not a fan of unisex names, but I've been thinking about this one lately because I do like Ella/Elle, but Ellery is a bit more unique.
Thanks :]
Myriah

I don't really care for Myriah, sorry it makes me think MY-rye-uh, rather than muh-rye-uh. If you want a different spelling though, Moriah is fairly standard I know a girl with this name <3
In a sibset, Mariah and Mara are super close. Both start with mah/muh :/ It all depends on whether you feel they're hard to say together though
Ellery is okay, I don't care for it on either a boy or a girl. I can see how it'd have a feminine appeal though For whatever reason, every time I see it I think 'celery'. Its probably just me being a wacko though Its not a bad name though. I love 'elle' names, I have Eloise on my list still <3

I agree with Remy. I wouldn't pronounce Myriah the same way as I would Mariah due to the spelling differences. I think Mariah and Moriah are nice spellings though. Monica and Mara are lovely, too!
I've always pictured Ellery as a boy name, though I understand that it does sound a tad feminine. I have it as a middle name for Charles, so I just don't like it on a girl for that reason. Sorry!

I think I like how Ellery looks more than how it sounds, because as you state, Haddie, it does quite unfortunately sound like Celery. And kind of like Hilary, which I'm not a fan of either.
What do you guys think of just Elle? Like Rose, I sense it would be a pain in the patootie to find a middle name for, lol

I do like how Ellery sounds for the most part. Unfortunate how it makes me think of celery so much lol. And Hilary, now that you point it out.
I love Elle! It would be a pain to find a middle name, but worth it! i had Elle Taylor on my list, which flows fairly well.
Elle Tamara
Elle Aurora
Elle Beatrice
Elle Natalia
Elle Georgina
Elle Victoire
I think long, elegant names suit. Or even using Elisabeth or Penelope nick name Elle.
GL!
