Hi all,

Looking to see about feelings regarding these name choices so far. Pretty solid on using my mother's name (Nell) as the middle. Just trying to see which of these flows the best. I want something unique so that they will be the only one, but still be able to spell and be pronounced most of the time. Thanks!

Eliana Nell Langen
Genevieve Nell Langen
Leilani Nell Langen
Liana Nell Langen
Morgane Nell Langen
Rylie Nell Langen
Ryleigh Nell Langen

I like Eliana and Teagan the best. Eliana Nell is very sweet.

Good luck.

I like:

Eliana
Genevieve
Leilani
Liana
Morgan
Riley
Seraphina
Teagan

There's no need to give a name a yooneek spelling, though. Imagine the child constantly respelling it; so stay w/ the original spelling. I'm not keen at all with Nell. Use a full name instead of a nickname. Besides, the Ls in your surname and Nell run right into each other. Since your surname is 2 syllables, pick a 1, 3 or 4 syllable 1st and middle name only. Eleanor and Penelope are some names w/ the nickname Nell.

If Nell is a full name, then the middle is the best place to put it, with a long first name

If you are looking for something uncommon then Rylie/Ryleigh is probably not the best choice. Not only is it a popular girls name, it is also a popular name for boys. Just last year there were at least 10,868 girls born given the name Riley in the US (including all the various spellings I could think to search for) and 3,845 boys named Riley (including various spellings).

I would also eliminate Morgane & Teagan from your list. These both end in the -gen sound which makes them rhyme with your last name.

I would also eliminate Alina, Liana, Eliana, Leilani & Seraphina from your list. These all end in the -nuh/nee sound and tend to run together with the middle name Nell and end up sounding like one name. (Ex: Elianell or Seraphinell).

If you eliminate these names it narrows your list to only two options:

Genevieve Nell Langen
Soraya Nell Langen

Both are rather unusual choices and both sound nice with your last name and middle name choice. Of the two my personal favorite is Genevieve Nell Langen.
