I've heard this bouncing around lately and was curious as to how others felt about it. I have an Uncle James and thought this could be a cool way to recognize him. I also know that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds named their daughter James and I think it's very pretty, but I wouldn't want it for my daughter's first name.

I'm not a fan of James for a girl, it's just too entrenched as a boys name to me. It doesn't feel feminine to me, and if it were me I'd find an alternative to honor a James. Maybe Jamie? It's pretty similar but has more history as a unisex name, or even Jane would honor him with it's very similar sound.

I think it's cute name for a girl, I like it a bit better as a middle name though
