Lexi from North Carolina:

I want to name my son Aydon. Pronounced like eye-don, but I worry people will pronounce it like Aiden. I don't want any confusion. Do you think people will mispronounce it, and, if so, how should I spell it?

Honostly when I read it I did pronounce it like Aiden or like ey( as in hey)-don. I have a name that people mispronounce all the time despite my parents changing the spelling to make it more pronouncable. (My name is Tiera, pronounced just like Kira with a T. The original spelling was Thyra but my parents decided to use a different spelling so I wouldn't get called Thigh-ra. However people usually call me Tee-air-uh)

As for how to spell it to avoid that, maybe something like Idon? (might not as nice but more likely to be pronounced correctly though I suppose you might get "ee-don")
