As I'm redoing my name list, I've realized how much I love Maeve. She's recently become the front-runner for my girls. The only problem is that I'm having a really hard time finding a middle name that feels just right.

 

Here are some I've been considering:

 

Maeve Rosaline

Maeve Alice

Maeve Guinevere

Maeve Gwendolyn

Maeve Annaliese

Maeve Amity

 

I like Alice and Amity best as middle names in general, but I feel like Maeve Alice and Maeve Amity are a little too short and abrupt-ending. I also like Maeve Guinevere, but I think the two V's disrupt the flow a little bit. 

 

What do you think? Which ones do you like, which don't you like? Do you have any other suggestions?

Maeve Guinevere and Maeve Annaliese are actually my faves. I don't think Maeve Guinevere is too "v" heavy at all. Very beautiful and sophisticated!

I agree about the others being too abrupt, despite their individual appeal.

Maeve Rosaline gets my third pick.

I had a dream last night where I had a daughter, and her name was Ella-Maeve. Such a random name, but it got me thinking about Maeve also! 

 

I like Maeve Anneliese and Maeve Rosaline. Maeve Alice is nice.

Addison, I also like your suggestions of Maeve Lorelei and Maeve Adeline. I still have no idea which combo I'm going to pick yet, but I'll figure it out eventually

Maeve Alice is actually my favorite combo from you list.  I don't think it is too abrupt but it would depend on how well it flows with your last name.

Maeve Gwendolyn/Guinevere get my vote! I feel like their clearly distinct from Maeve whereas I feel like Alice, Annaliese and Amity could run with Maeve and become kind of smushed when said out loud.

Maeve is for sure at the top of the list for me as well! When spoken out loud I believe that Maeve Annaliese just has a wonderful ring to it. It just sounds so powerful and sweet at the same time. It's a great combo! I definitely agree with having a longer middle name perhaps something like:

 

Maeve Damaris

Maeve Renee

Maeve Anastasia 

Maeve Carolina
