Ivy is really pretty. Carol is dated but still nice enough. Maybe Ivy Carol? Also, what about Caroline?

Caroline Ivy is very very pretty! Definitely worth consideration. Much more fresh, while keeping the namesake!

I don't get the point of calling a child by the middle name. If you're going to call her Ivy, name her Ivy. It causes so much confusion during school and life when their legal name is Carol, but they get called Ivy. That being said, I agree that Carol is horribly dated and not very attractive imo.
