A few unique names I found!

Achlys - [Greek for mist, darkness]. When I first looked at it, it looked kind of weird. But when I said it out loud, it just sounded lovely! As long as I dont accent the ack part haha. I've always liked Lys/Liss as a name, sounds so frilly and girly! And I can picture a little girl with this name! I even considered maybe adding it to My List! I can imagine saying it out loud, and it is rather attractive. Even if its a tad choppy.
Aderyn - [Welsh for a bird]. I also liked this one! I makes me think of a mix of Addison and Katheryn. Though apparently its a legitimate welsh name. Its got the cute nick name Addie or even possibly Ryn if you wanted to be more unique, and it sounds fairly familiar even though its different! I can really imagine using this name as well! I probably wont, seeing as I have so many names topping my list as it is. But I just might actually introduce this one to Mike for opinions.
Brave - at first, I thought this was totally illegitimate. I don't care for virtue names much, and it seems like just another odd word name. But when I listened to the sounds of it, it does make me think of other names. Its got the attractive Bray sound to it, and the mystereous -ave at the end, as Maeve does. If I forget about it being an actual word and just pay attention to the sounds, it kind of does sound namey to me! Though seeing as it IS a word and all, I'll just leave it as a guilty pleasure.
So yeah! Just some food for the thought, in a sense! As the name nerds we are, its always fun to have some new names introduced

Achlys - reminds me of Achilles which made me think it was a boys name at first. But the Lys sound is definitely feminine sounding and reminds me of other greek names like Calysta & Lysistrata so I can see Achlys as a girls name. It definitely has a unique sound. Did you look into the greek mythology behind the name? Apparently Achlys was the female spirit of the death-mist (the clouding over of the eyes preceding death) and the personification of misery and sadness...not exactly a happy image. Link
Aderyn - I've come across this name before. It reminds me a bit of the medication Adderall. And has a bit of a harsh sound, though I do LOVE the meaning
Brave - I'm going to agree with you on this name. It definitely has an appealing sound. The AVE sound found in names like Ava, Avery, Haven, & Maeve is very stylish right now. I think Brave would fit right in with names like True, Ever & Briar. Question is, do you like it for a boy or a girl? I'm thinking girl.

I found a few names that I thought were very interesting! Not necessarily names I'd ever use, but I kind of do like them!

My mom knows a woman who has two daughters named True and Brave.
I also really like Brave on a boy. (:

I mentioned Aderyn to some others and Addarall was their first thought as well so its seeming out of the question now. Though, Adalyn is still gorgeous! So I'll have to stick to that
For Brave, I totally agree!! Makes me think of Ava or Haven or all thosr stylish -ave names! And definitely goes with True and Ever and all! I asked my mum about Bray names and she told me 'donkeys bray, my dear' so im a little eh at Brave now haha! However, I could always use Avie as a nick name, though Brave is short enough to not need one. The more I think of it the more I actually really like it! However, it remains a GP
Thanks for your input, Katie!! an Raven too!! <3
