Your thoughts on the name:

Alpha-Eve Starlight

I've came across an article "baby names on the verge of extinction", and I really like the name Alpha for a girl.

Alpha is the brightest star in every constellation, the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and most importantly it symbolises primacy and excellency.

The name was popular in 1880 untill 1944 when it dropped off the charts, but is now disappearing for good.

I feel that to attract the name Alpha in a positive light, I think it's best to combine it with two first names.

Hope you like the name!

Any suggestions/alternatives that you could think of would be extremely helpful too!

I like Alpha, it isn't something I would use personally, but I think it is a nice name that is still wearable today.  Sound wise, it reminds me of the actress Alfre Woodard and one of my favorite names for a girl, Alma.  I agree that it has a wonderful meaning.   However, I think I would prefer it as a stand alone first name rather than in conjunction with another name, especially Eve.  The Fuh sound in Alpha and the Vuh sound in Eve are very similar making the combo Alpha-Eve very repetitive.  I do like the imagery of Eve Starlight, and if Eve were just a middle name then I don't think the repetitive sound would be much of an issue.  Overall, I think the combo Alpha Eve Starlight is quite beautiful.

Alpha is all right, but I don't think Alpha-Eve quite works as a double barrel name.

Alpha is nice enough, but altogether it is way too wordy. Three word names for one kid?
