So I finally broke my mom down today! We had a snow day and I was reading a book and she [randomly] asked for my opinion on the name Devony [pro. dev-ah-nee]. I was a little shocked, cause she gets angry when I ask name opinions. haha. Honestly, I'm on the fence about it. I like it one minute and hate it the next. But I like that it kind of has history with me and my mom. When she found out she was pregnant with me, she INSISTED I was gonna be a little boy and she was gonna name me Devon Lee. It took until I was actually born and several doctors and my "father" confirming I was infact a little girl before she gave up on Devon and named let my dad name me Alexis. She called me Devon her entire pregnancy. I was almost named Devon even as a girl. I'm not a fan of just Devon, but I admit, Devony is growing on me. I even though of Devony Jane after my mom, Jane being her middle name [Jean] scrambled up.

So.....thoughts on Devony?

I really love Devon/Devin on a boy. On a girl... not so much. It isn't necessarily bad, just not my style. It would definitely be better as a middle name.

I had a topic about this name a while back. Expect it was spelt Devonny. I came across it in a book I read a long time ago. Prisoner of Time. I thought it was a unqiue name but NMS.

It is not my style, really, but I don't think it's so bad.. honestly, it might be one of those names you just have to warm up to.
It kinda reminds me of Evany.. you know, more feminine version of a masculine name.
Devony Jane is a really good combo, IMO.
