Hello all! I am being homeschooled for the rest of the year and as a project, I am writing a book. I won't get into details, but Its about a girl named Genesis. She has 5 brothers and 2 older sisters. Her oldest brother is named Jonathan. I REALLY want to use the name "Jayson" Though I go to school with a boy named "Jayson" He's a really good friend of mine, but I'm afraid everyone will think I like him if I use it and *hopefully* get it published.

Then I think Jayson and Jonathan might be to close. Do Y'all think so? What other name could I use for a subsitute. I would use Jason, but I just LOVE the spelling Jayson.

What do y'all think?

P.S: I'm also not sure if I should use Jayson because my penn name is Jaesin Mitchell. Would that be weird to have a character thats a boy with the same name as a girl?

I don't really think Jonathan is too close to Jayson at all.
However, if you want to use Jayson instead, I think it would be okay as long as he wans't too big of a character.
