I know that you can find a way to creatively spell anything but I found one today that stuck with me, Myson. I asked the librarian (I was doing paperwork for her) how he said his name as he was her aide at the middle school so she'd know. And it's Mason, how you get a long 'a' sound out of a 'y', I have no idea. But I figured I'd share. Feel free to add any other oddly spelled names you know.

I knew a Khlarhys...... which is the most horrendous spelling of Clarice I think I'll ever see.

O_O that's very different from the way it's pronounced.

I like the name Fiona but I'd seriously consider spelling it Theona if I used it. Every time I've heard an Irish person pronounce the name it sounds that way to my un-Irish ears. I thought the little girl in The Isle of Roan Inish was actually named Theona for the longest time, lol.

This is sort of the opposite, but I saw someone with a name tag saying "Aisling" on it, which is supposed to be pronounced Ashlyn. She told me her mom called her Ashlyn, but correcting teachers on the pronunciation had gotten so annoying that she just went by "Assling" every where else.

Oh wow, I love Aisling but I'm always careful about pronunciation issues and I dislike the spelling Ashlyn. Assling is unfortunate. As well as the butchering of Clarice
And Myson spells My son. Whether that was intentional, I have no idea.
