I think I like Chanel. I have seen both, and I have also seen Shanelle.
But Chanel is my favourite.

Of the two spellings I prefer Chanel, as for my overall opinion of the name, it's not my favourite. It feels dated to me, but it's just not my personal preference.

I agree that Chanel is the best spelling. I think the name is cute, but not my style. Nelly is a very cute nickname!

I prefer Chanel spelled this way Its not my favorite, it feels dated to me. Mike likes the name a lot though

I actually think I like the Chanelle spelling better. It feels more feminine and I can see it on a person easier than Chanel, which reminds me of the fashion brand. I think the name is nice, and as it's stated above it does have the cute nickname potential for Nell or Nellie/Nelly.

I have to agree with Jenna_Lee that Chanelle is more feminine. Very cute. With the spelling Chanel I feel like it might get mispronounced as Channel. It seems to encourage the "Ch" sound instead of the "Sh" sound in Chanelle.

I think I prefer the Chanelle spelling, too - Chanel merely makes me think of the brand. The name isn't totally my style, but I ADORE the nickname Nelly! I think that's adorable <3
