So my hubby and I were talking and we've agreed that when we have children, their names (first or middle) would be family names. I would love to honor my great-grandmother whom I was especially close to, however I really don't like her name. It fit her, just not my style.
Her name is Zelda Lola. So I was wondering, how can I honor her, but still have a name I like? Any ideas?
The only one I've come up with is Lila.

I actually think Lola is adorable. I love that name. And it suits a child as well as an adult. Lila seems like it would work too.

Zadie
or
Ella (Zelda Lola)
you could also use her initials (Zoe Lila?) or include her favourite flower or gemstone in your daughter's name.

I like the idea of Zoe, actually.
Also, Eliza comes to mind. It doesn't sound too far off from Zelda. what do you think?

I like Fez's idea of Ella. But I also love Lola for a little girl.

I think Zadie is adorable.
Lola is a form of Dolores...Lolita is another variation.
Similar names to Lola...Lulla, Lalia, Louella, Lila, Lela, Layla, Lulu, Leola, Lollie, Liliya
Zelda sounds similar to Selda or Esmerelda nn Esme.
