One of my characters is currently named Lorelei Sorensen. But recently, I was thinking that many people would probably mispronounce Lorelei in reading my story. So, I considered giving her the nickname "Lorie"... but Lorie Sorensen doesn't flow as nicely as I'd hoped. Do you think I should keep Lorelei or come up with a new name?

If you think I should come up with a new name, please suggest a name that is European... preferably Western European, like German, Dutch, Czech, etc., as opposed to Russian or something. Thank you so much!

Katrina is a German variation of the Greek Katherine, which means 'pure'. Personally, I don't think Kat Sorenson sounds too terribly bad :)
Good luck!
