the buchanan camp of arts is a summer programme designed to let a selection of creative individuals focus on their artistic capabilities in a setting where their compositions can thrive. the programme is made up of eight broad art types, one of which each member can choose to focus on. the areas are:
drawing / graphics / painting / photography / sculpture / textiles / theatre / writing
at the end of the summer, the buchanan camp of arts holds an art competition; in which each member submits one composition that fits the guidelines of their chosen art type to be judged. from each art type, one winner is chosen. these eight winners are considered the buchanan camp of arts elites. a scholarship to an appropriate art school is given to each individual.
