Okay, I am on a roll with this story of mine...except that I need names badly! There is going to be a group of siblings, half fairy....in the Middle Ages. The mother is a fairy, named Luminara (is this okay?) and the father...is either named Ruddy or Duffy (which is better---think, falconer or gameskeeper).

Their children will be three boys and three girls, and I need names that are both fairy-ish and Medieval-ish. Some of my ideas are Hawthorne, Lotus, Palomina, Merrick or Kendrick, Rafferty....but I'm not set on any of these.

Some ideas for other characters: Aristo, Tanner, Elwood, Litsa, Pomona, Hugh, Linus, Erah, Wade (do these sound Medieval/Fairy like at all?)

Thank you!

Oh, I need some that are medieval and some that are faery, not names that sound both, sorry if that was confusing. Erowyn is really pretty, but I don't want it to be too close to Eowyn or Arwen. I was thinking of Katla for one of the sisters, what do you think of that? Thanks for your help, both of you!

It's okay, thanks.

What do you all think of:

Dulcina
Florinda
Fianna
Idelisa
Evadne
Breena
Tiana
Briar

Egan
Orin

Out of these and those listed above, which make a good six sibling set? Still looking for more suggestions, too! I'll accept made up names so long as they can be pronounced in English and sound fairyish or Medievalish

i like all of these except breena which sounds too modern to me. do a google search of Brian Froud. he is a faerie artist and has tons of characters that you can find for use or inspiration!

3 Sisters...
I like Katla or Katia and Evadne (or Briar)...what about Faeris (FAIR-IS) for the third sister.
3 Brothers...
I like Ovid, Hugo and Egan.

For Dad...would Ruddy be pronounced like Rudy (RUE-dee) or like Muddy (RUD-dee)? I like Angus for the dad.

I don't like Luminara. It's too close to Luminaria which is lighting fixture in spanish.

I suggest Amatista.

Thank you all so much for your help! I have already written the prologue to this, about Luminara and Ruddy. From all of your votes, I think I have decided on:

Harmonia nn Moni
Egan
Aristo

Tiana
Hawthorne nn Thorne
Katla

The other names, especially Briar, Kent and Orin will be other characters. Thank you so much again for all of your help!
