I was reading John Greens book, "An Abundance of Katherines", and the main characters name was Colin. At first, it was just an okay name. One of those "kinda cute but never really put much thought into it". And as I read the book, I started to fall in love with the name  I've been in love with Green's books as of lately, having already read Paper Towns and starting on Looking For Alaska (of which the name Alaska is also starting to be quite cute to me :D ), and Colin just sounded so nice! :D

What do you think of Colin?

I'm thinking of using it as a middle name  Not sure I like it enough to be a first name ;]

Thanks Tara Ann!

I agree Haddie, its one of those 'its okay' names, but I'd never use it. It's kind of boring for my taste in boys. But it is definitively masculine and Irish. And I never met a Colin I didn't like.

I haven't actually ever met a Colin before :0

Well, time shall tell if I actually like the name or the character with that name

I LOVE COLIN!

It's my youngest son's name.
I think it's a great name for all stages of his life.
Great name for a child and a man :)

I read that book!!! (Can you guess why :) ) I really liked it. I felt it showed the friendship between the two main guys really well. And even though there was a lot of math involved, it made it easy to understand.

I think Colin is a great name. I also have never met a Colin. I think it is a very handsome name that is classy and sophisticated yet still masculine.

Hehe, I first noticed it when I saw the name Katherine on it :) But my bff told me she loved John Green books so I decided to read them, and fell in love with his books! <3

I met one Colin and couldn't understand his name ;) He's like, "Hi, I'm Colin" and I'm like, "What?" "I'm Colin", "Sorry, still didn't catch that." "Colin, my name is Colin. C-o-l-i-n, Colin!" I felt so horrible for the poor little guy! ;)

I don't know anyone named Colin, but I still have a good association with it. Definitely strong and handsome with a touch of cuteness. I like it, though not enough to use as a first name.

Some ideas....

Colin Gabriel - my first thought. I quite like it.
Colin Arthur - can you guess why this comes to mind?
Colin Miles - is it too short? I'm no good with short names.
Colin Dmitri - I've been lovin' Dmitri recently
Colin Rhys - does it sound too much like one word?

Henry Colin - handsome. :) And I think you like Henry, right?
Jonah Colin - too much N? Maybe Isaiah Colin...
Ezra Colin - hmm. I like it
Bryce Colin - wow, I've never used Bryce before
Tobias Colin - I'm fond of Toby, I admit. :
Xavier Colin - nice! Probably my fave.

Thanks for the idea's! I like:

Colin Gabriel - It sounds stronger with Gabriel in it :D Colin almost seems a bit soft to me lol
Colin Miles - I don't mind if it's short, who knows, I might marry someone with a huuge last name like Zeingermanson-Imberweigha or something, and a short name will come in handy! :P

Henry Colin - I do like Henry, and Henry Colin does sound nice! A bit too soft do you think, though?
Bryce Colin - I usually don't care much for Bryce, nor do I even suggest it often, haha! But I do like how it sounds with Colin lol!
Tobias Colin - Haha, Toby is a guilty pleasure! <3 My daddy always told me it was an old mans name :L Though, he's been telling me that of Leo too! He says all Leo's and Toby's were born with Bertha's and Gertrude's :P :P :P Ahhhhhhh! I like it even with his torments, haha! I'm sure he'd grow to like it if I actually used it anyways LOL!
