Write down any and all family names(male or female and it can be first and middle if you want) in your family that you can think of and write if you would use that name for your child or not! If you want to, you can also put how that person is related to you.

Here are mine:

Kathryn Ann(Mother)-I think I would use it but with the Katherine/Catherine spelling. I don't think I would use Ann as it is also my little sister's middle name (except hers is spelled Anne).

Leona Theresa(Grandma)-I have always said that I would use Leona. I probably won't use Theresa as it is a variation of my Aunt and cousin's middle names.

Hazel Vivian(Grandma)- I will most likely use both. I might use a variation of Vivian.

Kenneth Carlyle(Father)- Since my brother's middle name is Kenneth, I probably won't. I don't like my dad's middle name.

John Robert(Grandpa)- I will most likely use both as middle names.

Phillip Alexander(Grandpa)- Again I will most likely use both as middle names.

Thank you for checking out this post and I can't wait to read your names.

Well I'm hoping to use family names as middles for my future children, and I'd like to give them all two middle names which means more names to choose!

Some of my top choices for girls are: Margaret (for both of my grandmothers, and also my middle name), Pamina (for my mum), Gwendoline (for my step-grandmother), Catherine (for my aunt and younger sister), Jane (for my mum, younger sister, and step-mum), Veronica (for my mother-in-law), Elisabeth (for my aunt), Samantha (for my younger sister and cousin), and Victoria (for my best friend).

For boys I am hoping to use: Robert (for my dad), James (for father-in-law and uncle), David (for my grandfather), Scott (for my brother-in-law), Stanley (for my father-in-law), Leonard/Leo (for my dad and grandfather), William (for two of my cousins), Samuel (for my cousin and younger sister), Hugh/Hugo (for my surname), and Oliver (for my younger brother).

mother: jeanette danielle

likely wouldn't use her first name, but we share a middle name so i would consider using it, definitely in the mn spot

father: james michael

i love the idea of using my father's first name as a middle for a son

sister: rachel marie

i don't like rachel in the mn spot on any combos i've tried tbh, it's just not a middle-name-name. marie is possible for a middle, probably not though

grandmothers: theresa, linda, loretta, catherine

would consider a means of honoring grandma theresa, although would likely be in a more "tessa/tess" form

don't like the names linda, loretta, or catherine so wouldn't use

great-grandmothers: sally, cecelia

sister's middle name honors grandma sally's middle, so wouldn't use as it's been done

cecelia is the name of a cousin on maternal side of family, so unusable

grandfathers: daniel, robert, jose, steven

my mother's and my middle name was to honor my grandpa danny so i wouldn't use it as it's been done

don't like the names robert, jose, or steven so wouldn't use

great-grandfather: edumino

cousin's middle name honors first name (joaquin edumino) but would consider mn edward.

aunts: christa, lori

would honor auntie christa in form of christine, mn only

would honor aunt lori in form of lauren, mn only

uncle: daniel

[see above; grandpa danny]

notable cousins: adelina janay, roman, savina

would honor adelina in mn spot for girls: either adeline/janay/janae

would honor roman in mn spot for boys: rome

love name savina but would not use as too unique

Mother- Michelle Denise

I could see myself using Michelle as a middle name, probably not Denise though

Father- Paul Anthony

I would use Paul as a middle and Anthony as a first or middle

Me- Alicia Marie

I wouldn't use Alicia, ever. I would use Marie as a first or middle

Sister- Kayla Nicole

As much as I love my sister, I probably won't use either

Sister- Devon Michelle

Unisex names are not my favorite so probably wouldn't use Devon. Michelle I would use in the middle as stated above

Brother- Tyler Jacob

I probably would use Jacob in the middle, but I don't think I would use Tyler

Grandfather- Stephen Jerome

I would actually use either of these as first or middle!

Grandmother- Helen Marie

I would use both as first or middle names

Mother: Audrey Joanna

I can totally see myself using both names, maybe even just swapping them around. I love Audrey a lot and Joanna is pretty!

Father: Calvin David

I love Calvin and would use it! I would maybe use David for a middle name but I'm more inclined towards Davina for a girl.

Sister: Jessamine Camille

Unlikely to use either in their full forms. I definitely like the possibility of Mina though for Jessamine which honours my aunt as well and Jesse for a boy. I'm just not keen on Camille.

Aunt: Jessica Ashley

I probably would not use either of these names as they're too dated imo. Though, I could be tempted towards Ashley for a boy.

Uncle: James Oliver

Both classic, useable names but I have a preference for James.

Aunt: Matilda 'Millie' Kate

Would maybe use Matilda but not Kate. Would use Katharine/Katherine instead. Or maybe another 'Millie' name?

Uncle: Logan Kyle

Neither really appeal to me.

Uncle: Hugo Jonathan

Hugo is adorable and I would so use! Jonathan is a bit staid imo but I might use Nate/Nathan.

Aunt: Minaxi 'Mina' Sharma

Mina alone would be gorgeous! I could see myself using it but Sharma, my aunt's maiden name, is not my favourite.

Grandmother: Elizabeth Anne

Elizabeth would be cute as a middle name and I would use Anna/or an -ann name of some kind.

Grandfather: John Caleb

John is a bit boring for my tastes and Caleb isn't my taste.

Grandmother: Vera Winifred

Vera is a possibility, especially with 'old' names coming back into fashion, but Winifred feels clunky.

Grandfather: Leon Theodore

Like the idea of Leo and the endless possibilities like Leonidas but Theodore seems too old fashioned for my tastes.

I've used family names in a way. My second sons middle name is Fraser, which is my boyfriends grandmothers maiden name/ the surname of my boyfriends aunt. Both of which are special people in our lives and we were so happy to honor the name.

I am interested in potentially using Nicastro as a middle name someday, if I have another boy. My moms maiden name/ surname of my grandparents on her side. I just like how it sounds... and I suppose it'd honor my boyfriends brother in a way as it contains "nick" in it.

Richard is a family name in many ways. My dads name, my grandpa's name, and an uncles name. I wouldn't mind honoring my dad and grandpa but the name is so used that I'd more likely prefer to honor in a more subtle way. I was thinking Hendrix, as the end includes rick. Bonus the musical reference which my family is very musical. :)

Charles is my older brothers middle name, I think his name honors a great uncle or something. I love it anyway, I'd maybe use it.

Ryan is another brothers middle name. We'd never use Ryan in itself as me and my boyfriend have a bad association to it. BUT my boyfriend loves the name Riley so it's a potential to use. I don't love Riley but I love how he loves it. I actually kinda like it on a boy but he loves it on a girl so... plus I suppose it'd honor one of my best friends, Rye.

Barbara Mae is the name of both my grandma and aunt. I don't know that I'd use Barbara but Mae is an absolute favorite of mine. I adore it. I plan to use it one day. Assuming I ever have a girl haha.

There's a ton of names in my family I could honor. It's take so long to list lol. But here's some I've had on mind.

Thank you for posting your family names! I loved getting to read your comments and in turn learn a little bit about what kinds of names you may like or dislike!
