Lately I've been thinking about how boring it would be to have ANOTHER John in our family, so I started thinking of other names. Emmett and Jackson are my favorite two. Abby has been telling me about the names Hudson and Alexander. John likes John. Truman likes Jackson and Hunter. And Avery likes Taco (by the way, that is not happening!) So I guess what I'm asking for is advice from my fellow moms. The baby is already causing enough stress on the family.

Thanks for the help!

How about John Alexander, John Emmett, John Hudson, or John Hunter, and then calling him by his middle name (or a nickname of said middle name). Or you could flip the combos around and use John as a middle name. Either way, you still get the family name in there somehow, but the baby doesn't necessarily have to go by John.  I think John Emmett and John Alexander are particularly handsome combos.

I LOVE Emmett John. It sounds so handsome and Emmett is a great name. If your husband loves John, I really do think it would be a good idea to use it as a middle name. That way you get to use John which will make your husband happy, but you also don't have to CALL HIM John which will make you happy. 😊

Using John as a mn sounds nice! Emmett John, Hunter John, and Jackson John are my faves

Emma gave me an idea I hadn't thought of before. You use a variant of John! There are several of them, and they have a lot of different sounds. Maybe you'll like one of them. Here are a few:

Ian

Sean / Shawn / Shaun

Shane

Ewan

Johann

Jean

Yannic/ Yannick

Jannic / Jannick

Ivan

Jan

Giovanni / Gianni

Evan

Hans

Jonas

Eoin

Hope this helps!
