I've been searching for the perfect baby name, and I've fallen in love with the name Orion. One website I looked at said it could be used for either gender, but I'm not completely sure. Thoughts?
Baby name: Is it really gender neutral?

Personally, I think it's more fitting for a boy since Orion, in Greek mythology, was a male hunter.

I think because it is still a pretty unique name it's one that people haven't 100% nailed down to a gender but I definitely think that since most of the babies named Orion are boys people will think boy when they hear Orion

Last year there were 806 baby boys born named Orion in the US. In addition the name was given to 24 girls. I wouldn't consider this a 'unisex' name, although it is being used as a girls name.

Orion is very masculine to me.

I definitely think of it as male.
I know it's not very close but perhaps you'd like Orianna as a girls' name?

Orion could work as a girl's name, however, as mentioned above, it is the name of a legendary male hunter/lover of Artemis. The Ryan sound in the name is definitely masculine. Maybe you should go with the feminine version of Oriana/Oriona? (ore-ee-ahn-a)
I've always loved Oriona

It's very boyish, but it is my sister's middle name.

I think Orion it's a boy name. However Orianna it's very similar and it's a girl's name.
