I was thinking of the name Alison, Emily (though I have a lot of them... it seems to fit!), Claire, Sarah or Ellie? Though I'm definitely okay with more name choices
She's the MCThe boyy- Caleb
His name will be Caleb, I think
So what I need is a definite name for the MC.
The basic story is the MC is a regular public schooled girl. She doesn't do much, though her mom is not very strict about anything at all so she could have a social life. Renee, her mom, got pregnant with the main character when she was sixteen. Renee is now the single parent of the MC and makes a general effort as a parent.
What happens is the MC meets Caleb when she is at a church service at a local church. She only went because she was feeling kinda down and taking a long walk and saw the church and was curious to what was inside. Caleb was sitting a pew infront of her, and quickly took notice to her. Caleb is a homeschooled boy, and his parents keep him on a very tight leash. But he was very interested in the MC and of course the MC was interested in him (being he was the only hot guy that ever really talked to her).
So they started going out. But after a couple months of going out, the MC gets pregnant and has an abortion. [this is where the story generally begins, background is stated during the story]. Caleb assumed it was the right thing to do, he never really thought of what abortion really was (wasn't a very attentive boy in church
). But afterwords, the MC starts having nightmares and thinking about the baby she killed. She and Caleb don't really talk about it, and Caleb has completely moved on. But the MC is freaking out, and deciding she made the wrong choice and the story is basically going to go through how she feels about the decision she made. Oh, and she names the baby either Faith or Hope or something of the sort, as a part of the remorse sort of thing
[[She personally decided it was probably a girl. And she likes to believe the baby is in heaven being taken better care of than she could do herself. Tries talking herself into the baby doing better off though she feels like a horrible person]]So that's the entire plot of the story, really. Explaining how the abortion effected her life.
I haven't gotten all the details down, but that's the main bulk of the story. I dunno if Caleb's going to stay with the MC for very much longer, he might not care much about her anymore. He might even meet a friend of the MC's (or one of the "friends"- she's not very close to most of the kids in her school). But he might even stick with her for a long time
