I've recently heard this name on a newborn, 3 weeks old, and I fell in love with it! Around my neck of the woods, you don't hear the name Bella. Yes, the hype of Twilight did up the ratings but not do much that it's over used- Isabella is.

So ladies, what are your thoughts on Bella Ruth?

Bella has always been more of a nickname for me personally for names such as Isabelle/Isabella, Annabelle and Arabella. There's a little girl that used to live down the block from us and her name was Bella Marie, after the character, because apparently the mother didn't know Bella was short for Isabella in the books.......... But my god-daughter is Isabella Marie, though NOT after Twilight. But as far as Bella Ruth, it does have a nice charm to it, though not my style.

I agree with BabyNameRater. Bella Ruth is not my style, but it does have a charm to it. What about Arabella Ruth or Annabella Ruth? Bella is a nickname to me too.

I like the style, but it sounds like you're saying Belarus [Bell-uh-roose] (European Country) with a lisp.

Isobel / Isabelle Ruth is pretty!
