I have been loving this name ever since I was playing through Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility, and it became a name that I really like. I also noticed people not like Candace for all these "Candy" connotations.

 

What is your opinion on the name? What kind of person would you think of when you hear the name Candace? And what is do you think of those combos listed below?

(Although I'm unsure about having a name starting with a letter Candace ends in, despite the "e" being silent in Candace)

Personally, I find Candace to be rather dated.  And, aside from Candy as you mentioned, it doesn't seem to have viable nickname options.  I think the more modern name Cadence is a good alternative to Candace, and you get the cute nickname Cadie.  

 

Nevertheless, if you love Candace, my favorite middle name you listed is Olivia.  Candace Olivia flows nicely, and the more modern Olivia updates Candace a little more.

My favorite combos from your list are Candace Michelle or Candace Olivia.

Candace isn't bad, but I'd pair it with a more in-style middle name. Of your list, I like Candace Olivia best.
