As much as I love my boyfriend his last name drives me up a wall. Not because it's long or hard to spell, it's short, common & easy to spell.
My favorite name for a boy atm is Elijah Spencer and for a girl both of our favorite is Kristen Summer. Here's where I have an issue.
Elijah Spencer Baker & Kristen Summer Baker. With Spencer and Summer both ending in -er and Baker ending in -er along with both names being 2 syllables do they sound choppy?
Summer is going to be used regardless but anyway to make it sound less choppy is appreciated. And any middle name suggestions for Elijah are also appreciated.

I honestly think it's fine. (:
I think the names are lovely, and kids very rarely go by their middle name!

They'll mostly be known as Elijah Baker and Kristen Baker
...very, very cute. :)

I suppose it sounds a tad choppy. It would bother me :/ However, especially as a middle name, it wont be noticed! Elijah Spencer Baker will only be called by Elijah Baker most the time anyway, just as Kristen Summer Baker will be called by Kristen Baker. But I know what you mean with the boyfriends last name thing :/ Mike has a lovely last name and all... but its long, hard to spell [it is spelled kinda how it sounds... but very common to mispronounce AND misspell :l], and it ends in an eee sound! Which rules out so many names I adore </3 Darn his Polish blood and their common -ski names!!

But, if you want different names for Elijah... I had Eli Christopher on my list since forever, Elijah Christopher does sound lovely! Though still the -er problem :/ uh...
Elijah Caleb
Elijah Finley
Elijah Preston
Elijah Bennett
Elijah Lucas
Elijah Evan
Elijah Nathan
Elijah Joshua
Elijah Phillip
Elijah Daniel
Elijah Zachary
Elijah Hunter

What do you think? More? :)

Yea. There's a lot of Polish -ski names. Baker is like the 37th most popular last name which seems ridiculous to me because my last name is in the 400 range. I guess the upside is nobody should misspell Baker though.
I like Elijah Daniel and Elijah Nathaniel. Maybe Elijah Brandon. I think doubling a B noise bothers me less because there's stuff seperating the sound.
More suggestions are always welcomed.

I think both sound cute and the halting feeling you can get from repeating sounds isn't as prevelent as it could have been if you had used a longer name, they're fine. And I agree that unless they decide to go by their middle names in the future it wouldn't be a problem.
